Where are you located?
Posted August 10th, 2007 by Sunshine EspressoI would like to introduce ourselves. We are Sunshine Espresso Drive Thru located in Shoreline, WA. Just north of the University of Washington. We've been in the espresso industry for the past 15 years and have seen a lot come and go. We have been very fortunate over the years to have great customers and great employees. You need both to be successful. In any case I'll shut up now and look forward to hearing from others here.
Investment anyone?
Posted August 9th, 2007 by cafekadoI am the owner of a coffeehouse in Durham/RTP, NC. Cafe' Kado.
We are listed in the featured coffeehouse section of this site. Although we have been successful getting off the ground in our first year of operation, I am in need of either an investor or an interested party to purchase my shop A.S.A.P. I have a very limited time frame to act—see http://www.cafekado.com and tab “Café Kado” for a virtual walk thru.
Thank you, Tom, for your encouragement to try....
good grief....can we open?
Posted August 11th, 2007 by xroadscafeHave the money...the logo....the plan.....the architect.....the vendors.....and a county and property management company that can't seem to get anything together. We were supposed to open in April, but nothing....the grade has to be raised. Then, we were supposed to open in July....nope. Should open in December....still looking at a dirt lot. We are going to be the end cap on a "strip mall".
Did everyone else go through this?

From the ground up... the building not the coffee.
Posted May 12th, 2008 by The Celtic CupHas anyone built their specialty coffee house from the ground up? What advice do you have for someone trying to build the building (not just a drive thru) and start a specialty coffee house?
