What brings your regulars back?
I think that not only a good product will bring a customer back; you need a lil’ more than that. I worked as a barista in a drive-thru in Washington, IL. There I learned that a lot of customers like to have a couple of minutes talking to a friendly person before starting a day or just to relax after a crazy one. The town was small, may that made it easier. I use to know my customers and what they liked, and that made it a plus experience since I was able to offer them a better customer service and more trust in me as their coffee expert. Another thing is that by taking couple of minutes to know those customers you can suggest new things for them to try. I can say that this formula works:
Good Product + Excellent Service = Trust and Loyalty from Customer
I can say that at least 99% of the time they will try something new. Unless you get one of my favorite regulars that liked 4 shots of great espresso! He didn’t want anything else!!!
