Where are you located?

Sunshine Espresso's picture

I would like to introduce ourselves. We are Sunshine Espresso Drive Thru located in Shoreline, WA. Just north of the University of Washington. We've been in the espresso industry for the past 15 years and have seen a lot come and go. We have been very fortunate over the years to have great customers and great employees. You need both to be successful. In any case I'll shut up now and look forward to hearing from others here.

Online Coffee Store - Quinlan, TX

gmltw's picture

Although I am currently only online our plans are to have a local presence.

I felt the only way I would ever be able to actually have a shop would be to have a successful online business first. I may be going about this the wrong way but I believe that we are offering some of the best coffee there is and as soon as we are able we will open a store here (Quinlan, TX).

I have a somewhat radical way of thinking when it comes to being in debt and I can not justify (with myself) any type of loan. So, until we are able to finance it ourselves through our online store and savings, we will have to be patient.

Our online store is found at http://gscoffeeclub.com . We have wholesale pricing as well as retail and we also offer our customers a way to receive an automatic shipment (so they don't run out or forget about us).

I am so looking forward to the day we have a local shop here.

Thanks for the ad space!

We're located in Southern NJ. About 40 mins south of Philadelphia PA and 20 mins to Wilmington DE. We are in a rural community with a great historic downtown. Everyone who goes to Atlantic City via Route 40 passes us (some even stop, ha ha). We have been open 2 1/2 years and are a cornerstone to the community (yeah, we're located on the corner). We feel that our current location is among the best in the entire County. There are only 60k people in the county and only about 3k in the community where we operate. We have one of the only WiFi spots around. Thank God for loyal customers!

Joffrey's Coffee & Tea Company in Sunny Tampa, Florida

joffreys's picture

In 1984, we began our coffee journey by importing and hand-roasting our very own gourmet coffee in Hyde Park (South Tampa) and later went on to incorporate fine teas into our offerings. We operate a company owned retail store in Channelside at 615 Channelside Drive and have developed a NEW Licensee Program (NOT a FRANCHISE) for entrepreneurs that want to own and operate neighborhood coffeehouses called The Junction. The Junction incorporated Old Meeting House Gourmet Ice Cream into our offerings. The Junction is located at 4004 S. MacDill Avenue
Tampa, FL 33611 Tel: 813-254-0977.

Chris, our Roastmaster, lives and breathes coffee. When he's not traveling the coffee-growing regions of the world to select the finest crops to import, he's researching, roasting, blending and cupping to insure you the best possible coffee experience with every cup of Joffrey's coffee.

Joffrey's Coffee & Tea Company and the Fair Trade movement share common goals: to guarantee that coffee farmers receive a fair price for their crops so that they can support their families and maintain their farms in the future. Purchasing Fair Trade Certified coffee is one way that we help ensure that coffee farmers are treated fairly. Quality is our primary concern, however, so availability of Fair Trade coffee may vary. We won't buy any coffee that does not meet our high standards of quality or that does not provide a fair value to you, our customer.

Joffrey's is committed to paying fair prices for all of our coffee beans. We want to see small farmers make a profit, to encourage future production of the high quality coffee we enjoy today. This is why we pay premium prices for the finest coffee beans from the best crops in the world.

There are hundreds of steps involved in the process of making a delicious cup of coffee, from raising an infant coffee tree to brewing the perfect cup at your local coffeehouse. We salute all of those involved who share our love of this special beverage!

Columbia, MD

orinoco's picture

Hi everyone! I am writing from Orinoco Coffee and Tea. We started as a roaster and wholesaler exclusively in 1997, then in 2006 we opened our retail location. Wholesale is still our passion, but our retail store has helped to refine the products and techniques offered to our customers, and they make delicious desserts from scratch every day! Yum! We are basically located midway between Washington DC and Baltimore, MD. We deliver weekly through DC, Baltimore Metro and New York City. We offer all of the products like the big companies, but maintain the personal service found in a small company.

Fremont, Calif

GAEL's picture

We're a small coffee house in the Mission San Jose District of Fremont. Our first coffee house was started in 1993 and located approx. 2.5 miles from the present one. Our first was named Mission Valley Coffee Roasting Co. but... Our present is called Mission Coffee Roasting Co.. We purchased Mission Coffee in 2001 as an insurance policy for the first. I had thought that owner at Mission Valley was going to screw with me and... I was right !! After 12 years of leasing, he decided that a Starsucks was better suited in his shopping center. So... no lease for me.
I roast my own coffee and we serve lite fare as in sandwiches and salads with soup. Business has increased over the past year since losing Mission Valley. We are heavily involved in the surroundin community. Our web site (fremontcoffee.com) tells it all. We feature ourselves as the coffee house of Fremont.
The State of Calif. has many old missions and we are blessed to have one within 100 yards of the coffee house. Therefore the name of Mission Coffee.
Come By and see us. Gael and Don are always here.

Gering, Nebraska

We have a small coffeehouse in Gering, Nebraska. My husband has always wanted to own a coffeehouse so here we are. I run the business and he still has his regular job. I did not drink coffee when we first opened but now I will have an iced latte or frappe (blended). I still don't drink just plain brewed coffee. We are in Gering, Nebraska which is on the west edge of Nebraska. We are very close to the Wyoming boarder. We are a rural community with a population of only about 16,000.

El Salvador

jgalvarez's picture

My name is Epe. I am a fourth generation coffee grower from El Salvador, the name of my farm is MALACARA, the farm dates from 1888, almost the beginning of the coffee production in the country. Our coffee won the 2003 Cup of excellence completion with a Presidential award. Now we are developing new and improve ways to increase the production of the farm, planting new Arabica coffee trees of the bourbon variety. One of our must important aspects of the business is the protection of the environment and the wellbeing of our people. Please visit our web site www.malacara.net to learn more about us. Thanks

Key West

rjdart's picture

My wife and I have The Coffee & Tea House of Key West. Although the shop has been open for almost 10 years now, we purchased it as a going business 2 1/2 years ago. For those who have been to Key West, we are located on upper Duval Street, the relatively 'quiet' end of our main commercial street. We're located in a lovely house that is fronted by a huge Spanish Lime tree that provides wonderful shade. Our porch, with its ceiling fans, provides a welcome respite and neat place for our customers to relax. We've done the front lawn in pavers and seating is provided for one and all to view the foot traffic that moves along Duval Street. Although Key West has many cruise ships that stop here, our customers are primarily locals who use the porch as a social center for the island. We kid that the "coconut telegraph" (our gossip network) begins and ends on our porch. Earlier this year our city police department declared that we were an unofficial police sub-station (perhaps due to the qualilty of our homemade baked goods).

Key West is a funky town, filled with all manner of characters. Located 90 miles from Cuba, we are known (for a lot of reasons) as the Last Resort. 130 miles from Miami, we are the last populated island in the Florida Keys.

Our staff are all long time employees and seem to know each and every customer by their name and what they drink. Our customers are fiercely loyal and Judy & I are constantly reminded that we are just caretakers for THEIR coffee shop.

Questions? Ask away. Visiting? Please stop and say hello.

Raleigh-Durham area Research Triangle Park, NC

cafekado's picture

Cafe Kado is on another coast, and the campuses around us are light industrial/research facilities of major corporations of America. Our particular location 4-5 years ago was a farm on a sleepy stretch of state highway--now this is boomtown USA, with multifamily and single family units slated for forest being razed, so people can live closer to their workplaces in RTP. Over the next 2-3 years about 28million are expected to fill the space within a 5 mile radius of our location. Most of our customers are corporate employees, some living locally, some that come nationwide for meetings or contracts--usually these are the vanguard of our growth bringing the locals in with them....apparently the locals can't find us, and I think that is a result of being fixed in our routines, but those traveling get the word out among others traveling....the reputation of our coffee is excellent. We do enjoy seeing our customers well satisfied.
