Help!! I am having sooo much trouble with finding affordable sleeves. For the last six years I have been using perfect touch. Now I'm trying the cup and sleeve route. I have 3 stores on a university campus and they protested the free (maidenform bra) sleeves. Do you guys think it's actually more affordable to use this method than the perfect touch system?
Cork sleeves
We talk to some folks at the Atlanta Coffee Fest from Memphis, TN. They make cork sleeves. You can use them blank or have them imprinted. They are biodegradable and eco-friendly. I don't know their prices as we haven't reach that stage of our start-up. You can find them at www.coolcorc.com. They are our list of distributors to consider.
CoolCorC cup sleeves
Thanks for the mention! We now can do assembled sleeves and we are happy to send samples to anyone who wants one. Just ask us for one over our website. www.coolcorc.com
You can get FREE sleeves!!!
Hey you guys can get free sleeves. because you pretty much adver for this company and they give you FREE sleeves... The catch is you have to put the sleeves on every drink... i dunno
Insulated cups and labels
We have used the white Insulair cups with a clear label with our logo since opening. We like the looks and we use the same logo label on our cold cups and other packaging with good results. The price for the cups has recently gone up though making this solution a bit more costly. I'd be willing to talk prices via email if interested and willing. The overall cost for the cup/lid/seal runs around $0.26-$0.28.
I'd agree about the status comment Siberia made. We have had a few that ask for a sleeve without even picking up their drink to discover that the cups are insulated. At times, however, I think we could stand to have some sleeves when we serve a hot tea to go and the water is pretty hot.
Not to spam but what about the ecosleeve?
I know this is a community for coffee house owners and customers to share ideas. But I am a distributor of coffee and paper supplies and I check the site for ideas for new products to carry and meet the needs of my customers. We don't sell the cardboard clutches anymore. They were getting too expensive and did not do the job well. I did have a few tea houses that needed something to handle higher tempatures. I found the Ecosleeve which is a biodegradeable foam clutch. Its much thicker than the cardboard and the foam is a much better insulater than paper, it feels better to the touch (like perfect touch), available in multiple colors, and cost less.
I really don't want to spam but you can search it on Ebay.
Sleeve
We looked at many including the perfect touch cups. I think the coffee house crowd looks for the sleeve. It's seems to be a status thing in my opinion. The perfect touch 20 oz cup is upwards of $0.20 each and a sleeve and premium white 20 oz cup together is about $0.16 ea and gives that coffee house look and touch. The problem with most sleeves are they do not go high enough on a 20 oz cup for a good grip. We use white cups and plane sleeves from Robert Ore Sysco. For another $0.02 we add a Logo Label to the sleeve as we use them. That is cheaper then pre-printed sleeves and it allows me to change the messgae as often as I want on the sleeves. That's my thoughts on it. Take care. Thanks.
Addendum to "sleeve"
I noticed on a television show that they had used a sleeve on an insulair cup. The coffeehouse crowd really do love their sleeves. I just recently switched to an eco-friendly cup from insulair cups. No one has noticed that it feels warmer to the touch. I do have sleeves for the really hot drinks.
Do you have your logo labels printed?
if so what's the cost?
hey thanks for the idea!
