Background
My wife came up with the idea of opening a internet coffee lounge when I was over seas with the Vermont National Guard. I came home in Dec 2005 and started construction 3 days after coming home. We opened the door for business in Jan 2006
Keys to Success
As of now we are the only shop around. What I think helps us here is that we are a independent business located at a ski area owned by a big holding company with a lot of $$.
Special Events
Not yet. But we are looking into coffee cupping or a latte art event.
Target Customers
We cater to anyone that wants to have a great tasting latte or a cup of coffee.
Challenges Faced
The biggest challenge is getting a bank to loan us money. Most in this area won't back us because we are classed as a restaurant. We have managed to make it by.
Where We're Headed
Hopefully things are heading in a good direction. We are getting our menu dialed in for what is needed up here. I would like to see us with another store or two in 5 years.
