Santa Ana Coffee is grown in the volcanic, nutritionally rich soil located between two lush valleys outside the City limits of Santa Ana, El Salvador, Central America. Santa Ana Coffee Company is an importer of over 12 qualities of green coffee beans ranging from what the local population consumes in El Salvador all the way to Strictly High Grown Estate Farm Coffee with zero defects. Santa Ana Coffee Company can supply your company with any quality green coffee bean you may desire.
The Santa Ana Coffee is cultivated at family farms in the mountain ranges surrounding the Santa Ana Volcano, and handpicked over a period of eight months to ensure that only red ripe beans are harvested. Grown under the shade of native trees, a natural habitat that is ecologically friendly to migrating birds is provided. Botanically, the coffee comes from the Coffea Arabica variety “Bourbon”. The coffee matures slowly until it develops its natural flavor, full body, acidity and delicate aroma. The Santa Ana Green Beans are hand processed in the family owned Beneficio established in 1896. The coffee is carefully processed in the Beneficio’s own coffee mill, naturally fermented in tanks, 100% sun-dried in patios. Mechanical dryers are not used. With over 100 years of experience in the gourmet coffee production, the Beneficio has always set the standard by which the highest quality coffee is made. Nowadays, The Beneficio continues in the belief of the founder: by taking special care of the employees and the environment, a better coffee will result. www.santaanacoffee.net

How it all started: My sister married a gentleman from El Salvador, Central America about 25 years ago. Last July my wife went down there for a family visit. While she was there she met a very poor family who lived in the mountains of El Salvador in a one room structure with dirt floors and one bed for him and his wife and his two adorable little girls ages 4 and 6. The Dad works in the city of El Salvador which is a 4 hour bus ride from his house. He crosses 2 rivers at 4am in the morning and then takes 3 different busses to get to the City to work and support his family. He makes about $2.75 per hour doing such things as painting and gardening. El Salvador has the US dollar as their currency. Food and clothing there is as expensive as here. Well my wife fell in love with the kids and wanted to help them. We are not a wealthy family so she came up with an idea. My brother-in-law told her that Coffee was the main source of income for the country and he introduced her to different coffee growers. She applied for a SBA loan and decided to open a coffee import company and import green coffee beans to the states and sell them. Then she is taking a percentage of the profits and giving it to this family to help them improve their quality of life. Last July after her 1st sale she went back and asked the Dad if he would bring the kids to the city to meet with her. He did and she took the kids shopping. She bought them a T.V., their own bed, clothes, toys and gave them enough money to eat for a month. She also took them on their 1st trip to a fast food chain (Wendy's) for lunch. This was their first time off of their mountain, first time in a car, first time in a fast food restaurant and their first time in a toy store. If you could have seen the look on their faces, it was enough to make you cry. Below are some of the photo's with them. My wife calls the company " Santa Ana Coffee Company", named after a small town in El Salvador. She sells green coffee beans produce JUST in El Salvador and will continue to help this family and then at some point continue on to help another family. It's a good feeling.
