Background

San Francisco Coffee Roasting Company opened on the corner of North Highland and Amsterdam Avenue in 1992, quickly establishing itself as the favorite local coffee house.

Why the name San Francisco Coffee Roasting Company? Tanya Bond, owner, is a Georgia native borned and raised in Atlanta. Shortly after graduating from Georgia Tech with a degree in Industrial Engineering, she moved to the San Francisco Bay area, where she met her husband Doug Bond. Doug is a coffee fanatic! A roaster by trade, Doug eats, drinks, and sleeps coffee. He is our Master Roaster and thereby hand selects, roasts, and prepares all of our coffees.

We target coffee lovers who want to come and hang out for a while.
