Target Customers
We cater to every realm. The morning commuters, the next door merchants for lunch, the after school student looking for place to hang out, the local ladies clubs that come for hot tea, the customer down the street that doesn't have internet in the their summer home and has to work remotely to enjoy the beauty that the Nothern Neck offers. Football games can get VERY CHILLY! We stay open late on Friday nite football games to offer something hot.....or cold as the students can't get enough of our Frappes!
Challenges Faced
We are located in a very small community. We have one high school for the entire county, as well as one primary and one middle school. A lot of our traffic is generated from the summer crowd that have summer places. That's why we offer free Wi-Fi, and print and fax capabilities at a small fee. After school students also patron the business frequently. There is not other coffeehouse for 10 miles. We were the first coffeehouse in the area and that has taken a while for the locals to get used to something so new. Most are used to stopping at the area gas station and getting coffee...UUGH!! We offer free drip coffee on Thursday mornings and that has helped to create more traffic flow. We offer gift cards, great for stocking stuffers, free latte program, etc.
Where We're Headed
We have been open 1.5yrs and plan to expand April 2008. We have a few other things in store.
