Located in the Historic Court Street District of Downtown Gadsden, The Grind is the place to be anytime the doors are open. Founded and created by Debi Bennefield and Heather Shaw, The Grind opened in May of 2005 and has been going strong for a little over two years! We have everything from Lattes to Hot Chocolates to Sandwiches to Cheesecake. Voted the number one coffeehouse in Gadsden, you can always count on our staff to fix you up with an awesome coffee drink! You can hang out and relax on one of our comfy couches and listen to live music or hook up to our free wireless network. Come Grind with us!

With awesome food, gourmet desserts, and mind-blowing specialty drinks- why would you want to be anywhere else? We offer inhouse and outside catering... so plan your next event with us.

Challenges Faced
Gadsden tends to be a all or nothing sort of town. People forget easily if you are not top-of-mind. We have to stay in front of them and creating an email list and reminding people often of the events we offer has been key. People love our wine tastings and look forward to them. We had to create a place that was fashionable to bring friends and then remind them constantly that we are that place.
Where We're Headed
Hopefully toward profitability! I would love to be able to expand the same concept to other locations.
