Background
We have recently moved to a new location in the lower level of The Carley House which is a big Victorian house. We had been at the Watson St. location since 1999. Before that we were located in Green Lake which is a tourist spot. We decided to move to Ripon so we could have year round traffic. We've never regretted the move. We serve fresh brewed coffee, espresso, lattee's, cappuccino's, mocha's, iced creations, chai, smoothies, scones baked fresh daily, muffins, cookies, and biscotti. .
We also have a quilt shop, and gifts all under one roof.
Keys to Success
I believe the keys to success is offering great customer service. With just a phone call we will deliver to the downtown area (weather permitting). Everyone is personally greeted upon entering the store. Every purchase leaves the store as a gift for someone.
Target Customers
Our target customers are the downtown business people as well as visitors. Ripon is also a college town so we have a lot of college students.
Challenges Faced
When we moved to Ripon we were the only coffee shop. Six months ago there were three however, one has closed. The other one is more up scale. We have a good mix of product which helps to interest more people.
Where We're Headed
The past couple of years has seen a decline in sales and we're hoping to see that turn around soon. With the addition of the quilt shop I believe that's possible.
Other Info
Ripon is the birthplace of the Republican Party and we are the only place to buy Republican Brew and Right Wing Blend coffee beans.
Join us any day at our friendship table for quilting, knitting, sipping coffee and just old fashioned fellowship.
