Opened in 2008, the Chatt Room is operated by Atlanta Youth Project (AYP), a ministry working with inner-city youth of Atlanta. All profits from the shop support the work of AYP. Located on the banks of the Chattahoochee River (in the Walton on the Chattahoochee apartment community), this specialty coffee shop is the center of local community activity.

The biggest challenge is our location. If you want to visit our shop, you have to know it's inside the Walton on the Chattahoochee apartment community. Our main customer base is the apartment community itself, with the only outside business coming from leasing prospects and those who have heard of the Chatt Room by word-of-mouth. We have won loyal customers over by offering them consistent, quality service and coffee products and by featuring regular events in the shop.
In 5 years, we hope to be the #1 choice for a coffee shop out of all the residents of our surrounding community. We would like to see regular support come from partnering businesses and organizations. Ultimately, we hope the success of the Chatt Room can lead to regular financial support of the Atlanta Youth Project.
