Buffalo River Coffee Company is Hohenwald's first and only coffee house. We strive to be a local gathering place for young and old, for fun or for business purposes. Our search for great coffee led us to Coda Coffee in Denver for our espresso and specialty drip and Bongo Java in Nashville for drip coffee.
Great coffee, warm and inviting environment, ping pong, board games, books and more books, music, reading groups. We're more than just a coffee house.
We attract a wide variety of locals as well as tourists just passing through. We have regular weekly meetings for the Chamber of Commerce and Arts Council, a reading group and hopefully a movie night for the younger crowd will start soon. Wi-fi allows professionals and those with SLOW DIALUP to sit with coffee or tea and net surf with ease.
We have had to educate coffee drinkers about the specialty coffee niche. Three dollars seems pricey for a cup of coffee until one understands the differences.
We have plans to open a stand alone drive thru this summer and one next year in a neighboring county. In five years, I would like to expand into a restaurant chain.
